As a continuation of our College Park Kindness Project, the Grade 8s took up the torch for December. As a group, they worked to address kindness in three ways:
- In our community at large - by encouraging our students and staff to bring in items for the Men’s Shelter. This was in the form of toiletries, winter clothing, and other necessities.
- In our neighborhood - students went out shoveling driveways and sidewalks in the community and encouraged residents to pay kindness forward.
- In our world - we partnered with a very high needs elementary school in Red Deer and had a used clothing drive for the families of that school. The average income for those providing for children at the school is between $11,000 - $17,000, and the donations were greatly appreciated.
The Grade 8 classes would like to extend a huge thank-you to our College Park families for helping support their kindness project.
