The Grade 2 students had a busy month spreading kindness in our school and community. We kicked off the month with our Little Silver Box initiative. With the help of Mr. Smith, the Grade 2 students each made 3 little silver boxes. The silver boxes were created to be shared amongst the students and staff at College Park School. Students were asked to give away their silver box when they noticed a random act of kindness or when they had something kind they wanted to say to someone else. We enjoyed watching all of the little silver boxes and kind words get spread throughout our school. We also demonstrated kindness when we visited the residents of the Dr. Hemstock Assisted Living Residency. We shared our love of singing and reading and brought smiles to many faces that day, including ours. We can’t wait to see what the Grade 4’s can do in April! Kindness is not an act. It is a lifestyle. ~ Anthony Douglas Williams Check out the Grade 2 Kindness Project
