September Appreciation Station

Who doesn't like to feel appreciated?  As a part of their September Kindness Challenge, the grade nines created a table at the front door of the school, complete with a supply of sticky notes for students, parents and staff to post about their appreciation for others in our building.   Thank-you to our grade nine classes for taking on the first month in our year long focus on kindness.  You can continue with what they started.   Did someone do something for you that you appreciate?  Let them know!  Tell them.  Write them a note.  Tell others what a positive impact they make.  Keep that wave of kindness going. Good luck to our grade seven classrooms who have had the torch passed on to them for October.

Grade 9 Kindness Messages in Memes

What is more fun than looking at memes?  Well, making memes is a close second.  Our grade nine classrooms took on the September Kindness Challenge and created messages about kindness that they wanted to share with the school.  Throughout the month of September, these awesome memes played on our hallway screens, inspiring students throughout the school to think about kindness and what it meant to them.  Check out our senior class creations  by clicking here .

August Staff Action

What is kinder than making people feel welcome?  Before students even made it to our building, staff were outside, decorating the sidewalks with messages welcoming students and parents to the new school year.  Check out our video.

Challenge Accepted

Wouldn't the world be a better place if we were all a little kinder to each other?  College Park has set up a challenge for kindness to be our focus this school year.  Although kindness will be our focus for the whole school for the whole school year, each grade level has chosen a month to be their month to let the kindness shine.
